What is the Paintedsheep Dolly?
The Paintedsheep Dolly is a solid wood, video or film tracking dolly-built for use on straight or curved track.

How is the Paintedsheep Dolly different from other track dollies?
The copyrighted design is unlike any other dolly on the market today. The independently moving, all aluminum, wheel assemblies can rotate 360 degrees for use on curved or straight track and they even pivot on a middle axis to accommodate track that is not on perfectly flat surfaces. This innovative wheel assembly design is not seen in other tracking dollies on the market. This feature enables you to use the Paintedsheep dolly in conditions that many dollies would not work well in, such as bumpy or uneven ground. Even if one track is on a slightly different plane than the other, a Paintedsheep dolly will not easily jump the track like most dollies with fixed wheel assemblies would.

Is the Paintedsheep Dolly tough?
The Paintedsheep Dolly is one of the most robust 3 arm dollies on the market today! Even though this heavy-duty dolly weighs in at only 13 pounds, it is capable of working with loads of over 400 pounds. This enables the Paintedsheep Dolly to be used with almost any combination of tripod, crane, or jib-arm device-no matter how much it weighs. The Paintedsheep Dolly is built from solid pine or oak. Cheap aluminum or all plywood dollies do not have the same resilience and flexibility as solid pine or oak.
Adding to the toughness of the Paintedsheep Dolly is the all new, optional, rubberized coating. We now offer this amazing coating, which is similar to spray-on truck bed liner, to further add to the resilience of the Paintedsheep Dolly! In a 3 step process, the dollies are spray coated with a hot rubberized sealant that reaches 280 degrees in a chemical reaction before it sets and cools, making the dolly waterproof and scratch/ding resistant. Don't be afraid to get the Paintedsheep Dolly dirty...you can hose it off. This stuff is tough!

Is the Paintedsheep Dolly easy to use?
The Paintedsheep Dolly is one of the easiest tripod dollies to set-up and use. Set-up is simple because at the end of each of the 3 arms of the Paintedsheep Dolly is a recess for the tripod foot to securely rest in. This eliminates the need for cumbersome tie-downs and straps. You can just set the dolly on the tracks, set the tripod on the dolly...and shoot. When resetting a shot, the tripod lifts right off, no fumbling with clamps or straps. Our dollies work with pipe of diameters between 1" and 2.5" or even aluminum or steel angle. We recommend 1.25".

Who uses the Paintedsheep Dolly?
The Paintedsheep Dolly has been used by professionals and amateurs alike. The Paintedsheep Dolly has been used to achieve smooth dolly shots on productions with low/no budgets and productions with multi-million dollar budgets. Previous customers include dramatic and commercial filmmakers from around the world, including national cable T.V. shows, major Universities, small and large production companies, and even employees of 2 of the top 4 productions studios in Hollywood have purchased and used the Paintedsheep Dolly!

Do you sell track with the dollies?
No, not yet. We are in the final stages of development for all-metal curved track sections and a swing-away seat to be offered for sale with the Paintedsheep Dolly. You can expect the curved track to be available for purchase by the end of 2009 and the operator seat shortly after that. Keep a look out. If you would like to be informed of when these items become available, you can email us at sales@paintedsheepdolly.com and ask to be added to our Future Products mailing list.
